A glass of wine is quite refreshing and you can concentrate on the daily work more effectively after having it. You can buy a wine bottle from the grocery store and have fun until the bottle gets emptied. But the real fun of making homemade wine will be missed. It feels really great if you prepare the wine with your hands and the drink gets appreciated by your family members and yourself. The utensils required for making homemade wine are a glass bottle of one gallon size, small pan, polythene vessel and small jar. These utensils should be properly sterilized before the usage. If any of these utensils have ordinary corks, replace them with plastic corks. Also take care that the vessels and other utensils are not made of enamel, copper and aluminum. The yeast used for the fermentation process is of two types, baker’s yeast and wine yeast. These two types of yeast can be used in making homemade wine preparation, but the wine yeast is preferred most. The invert sugar can be used in place of granulated sugar, as the taste of wine will be great.

After the collection of required utensils and grocery, making homemade wine procedure should be followed. Remember that the wine preparation may take few days and be patient throughout this process. First take the invert sugar in small jar and add some water to it. Boil this mixture for two minutes and place it in the sterilized glass bottle. Add the wine yeast to this mixture and keep it aside for three days. Now ferment the required fruits for making homemade wine. Remember that the type of wine is dependent on the fruits used in the fermentation process.

The fruits have to be crushed and placed in the polythene vessel. The warm water and campden tablet have to be added, and the mixture has to be left aside for two hours. Now add the earlier made yeast mixture to this and allow it to ferment for a week. Then filter out the pulp and add the sugar-water mixture again and boil for one minute. Leave this mixture for ten days and again boil by using the sugar-water mixture. This is the final stage in process of making homemade wine. Hence making homemade wine is easy process and involves lot of fun, but requires some patience too.
